i live with a lab chow, one eared dog named rookie

i rescued him in 2020 from take paws after he'd be eaten by rats and living in squaller with his litter in a barn. he is a melodic howler, generous kisser and sweet dude who fears cats and loud noises

we live in the st roch neighborhood of new orleans by way of chicagoland

i have been taking pictures, raising dogs and volunteering for shelters for most of my life. while i've refused to niche down the subject matter i capture, one thing has remained consistent: my admiring eyes for dogs and taking their picture

through family and lifestyle sessions, crescent city farmer's market coverage, shelter captures or daily occurrences on neighborhood walks, i always have time to take a picture of that dog
